Great St Mary's Church has stood over the Cambridge market place for over eight hundred years.  It is the parish church and the university church.  The tower was completed to is current height in 1608 and visitors should climb the steps to the top of the tower for amazing views and stunning photos for your album

Climbing the 123 steps and rising to a height of some 35 metres is well worth the effort and looking from the tower here are some examples

Once returning to ground level do look around the church and note the two organs.  Be sure to see the clock installed in 1793 that chimes like big ben with Westminster chimes.
